Rodeln or tobogganing

Every Monday and Thursday evening you can ride the 7 km long toboggan run which is one of the longest in the Alps. With the Silvretta lift you go up to 2320 meters above sea level. Once you leave the cable car you can grab your sledge and take off. I strongly advise to take 1 sledge per person. It’s so much more fun when you can ride it alone. We have done with 2 adults on it, and it’s not as much fun. From the start back to the city center you will go down for over 950 meters of altitude difference. It’s not cheap to take a ride. Prices in season 2023-2024 are 18.5 euro for adults and 11.5 euro for a child.

I did find back some images from some years ago, but that also means quality is not that great and at that time I was not yet taking pictures with the intention to use them on our website.

The biggest tip I have is to go early! Make sure you queue on time and when you arrive at the top, go pick up your ride as soon as possible and take off. The toboggan ride is so much more fun when the track is still in good condition. Once a couple of hundreds of people have ridden the slope, there might be deep tracks which make the ride more bumpy. As said, most fun will be when you have the sledge for yourself. We have done it while seating, but don’t hesitate to ly on your stomach. In that position you can steer the sledge with your toes in the snow. Make sure to wear decent shoes which can handle the snow.

You go down on slope 1 towards the direction of the Silvretta which means there are some less inclined parts, but also quite some steeper parts where you will get decent speed. However, we do think that the slope 1 in the direction of Fimba & Pardatschrat would be crazy as well, but probably not that smart 🙂
