Africa – From our first adventure to offshore work trips

Africa is where it all started for us. In 2006, a honeymoon in Tunisia sparked the travel flame that still burns today. Since then, our relationship with the continent has been a unique blend of discovery and professional assignments. From the offshore energy industry in Angola to work-related stays in South Africa, we’ve experienced Africa through a different lens than most tourists.

While we’ve only scratched the surface of this massive continent, these trips have given us a profound respect for its diversity and resilience. Whether it’s a short break between work shifts or our very first steps as travelers, Africa remains a place we hope to explore much further in the future.
