Gerlos - Dutch village
2017 – We visited Gerlos for a short ski of 3 skiing days. Easily accessible from Belgium but do that a last climb into account. It started to snow just before we arrived and we didn’t expect any trouble although I think that people arriving an hour after us might have needed some chains.
143 km of Slopes
- 43 km for beginners (blue)
- 89 km for advanced skiers (red)
- 11 km for experienced skiers (black).
Apres ski
Starts early and was crowded. There was each time a great atmosphere and good music. However, at the entrance, under the speakers, it was way too loud. There is also some music and a bar outside.
Big apres ski bar mainly visited by Dutch people and music is often very Dutch oriented.
Hotel (Jaegerhaeus)
We stayed in a small hotel next to the slopes, but in the morning we had to walk a short distance to the lifts to start our day. A friend that joined last minute stayed in Haus Maria, located next to the lift and almost ski-in. Both hotels had comfortable rooms for an affordable price. Breakfast buffet was exactly what was needed to start a day full of ski.
