Montenegro Travel Guide: Road Trips, Hiking & Best Places to Visit

We visited Montenegro twice in 2025. First during our roadtrip to Albania and Montenegro and also later in the year to go hike the Peaks of the Balkans. We think there are two sides to the country. First there is the marvelous nature up north and then the (over) touristic region around the Bay of Kotor and the beaches. Luckily we were there in the shoulder season, but I guess it gets quite crowded in summer. With only one third of Belgium Montenero is quite a small country.
